The Iraqi Journal of Civil Engineering (IJCE) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research in the field of civil engineering. Established in 2005, IJCE is issued by the College of Engineering, University of Anbar, under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The journal publishes original and valuable research articles that highlight the latest innovations and advancements in civil engineering science and practice.
IJCE is an open-access journal operating under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial (CC BY-NC 4.0) license. It follows a double-blind peer-review process to ensure academic integrity and research excellence. Since its inception, the journal has published numerous high-quality papers in both Arabic and English. In 2015, IJCE adopted the Turnitin plagiarism detection system to maintain originality and ethical publishing standards. Beginning in 2018, the journal transitioned to publishing exclusively in English and now issues two editions per year.
Manuscripts must be prepared in accordance with the journal’s submission guidelines and submitted electronically through the online submission system. Each submission undergoes a rigorous peer-review process conducted by expert reviewers in various branches of civil engineering. Accepted papers are published online within a reasonable timeframe, followed by the release of a printed edition.
