Archiving Policy

Archiving Policy

Author Self-Archiving Rights

The Iraqi Journal of Civil Engineering (IJCE) fully supports the principles of open access and grants authors comprehensive self-archiving rights for all accepted and published papers. Authors retain the copyright of their scholarly work and may archive pre-print, post-print, or the publisher’s final version (PDF) in personal, institutional, or subject-based repositories at any time, both before and after publication, without seeking prior permission from the journal or publisher.

Authors are entitled to deposit their accepted manuscript or the version of record in institutional or centrally managed repositories, making it publicly accessible immediately upon acceptance and publication. Proper attribution to the Iraqi Journal of Civil Engineering (IJCE) as the original source of publication, along with accurate citation details, is required in all cases.

Authors may also make their published article freely available on personal websites, academic profiles, or digital libraries immediately after publication, provided that:

  • The journal name is cited as the original publisher.
  • The complete citation details (including volume, issue, and page numbers) are clearly indicated.
  • The URL or DOI of the published article is included alongside the archived PDF version.

Digital Archiving and Preservation

To ensure the long-term preservation and accessibility of its published content, the Iraqi Journal of Civil Engineering (IJCE) participates in digital archiving through the Iraqi Academic Scientific Journals (IASJ) platform. This initiative guarantees that all published articles, past and future, are securely preserved and remain permanently available to the global research community, even in the event of data loss or technical failure within the journal’s own archives.

Through this archiving policy, IJCE reaffirms its commitment to open access, academic transparency, and the permanent availability of scientific knowledge in the field of civil engineering.
