Journal History

The Iraqi Journal of Civil Engineering (IJCE) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to publishing original and valuable research contributions in the field of Civil Engineering. The journal aims to disseminate the latest innovations, developments, and applications across all branches of civil engineering.

IJCE is published by the University of Anbar – College of Engineering under the supervision and regulations of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (Iraq) since its establishment in 2005. The journal operates under the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial (CC BY-NC 4.0) license.

The Iraqi Journal of Civil Engineering is an open-access, double-blind peer-reviewed journal issued quarterly. Since its inception, IJCE has published numerous original and high-quality articles in both Arabic and English. In 2015, the journal adopted the Turnitin plagiarism detection system to ensure the integrity and originality of submitted manuscripts. Starting from 2018, IJCE has transitioned to publishing articles exclusively in English, with two issues released annually.
